MECON ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOW METER

 

Mecon Electromagnetic Series decades of flow metering application experience, the well-honed manufacturing process of our electromagnetic flowmeters dates back to Made-in-Germany engineering tradition of the former TURBOWERK MESSTECHNIK and undergoes continuous improvement at our factory. Our mag-flux product line is an excellent example for this process.

Operating principle

Electromagnetic Flow Meter Principle

 

The measuring principle of electromagnetic flowmeters is based on the law of electromagnetic induction as described by Faraday. A conductive liquid flowing through the sensor's magnetic field B generates a voltage Ui which is directly proportional to the flow velocity v.

Our mag-flux electromagnetic flowmeters are based on pulsed constant field technology. This design makes mag-flux flow meters extremely robust and stable. There are no moving parts and pressure drop is avoided.

As a result of our high-precision hydraulic calibration procedures the measuring accuracy of our electromagnetic flow sensors in combination with our transmitter mag-flux M1 is < 0.5% (consult product specifications for further details).

Mecon Mag Flux A

MAG FLUX-A FLOW METER

Our mag-flux A type flow sensors are precision measurement devices, suitable for determining the flow rates of nearly any electrically conductive liquid – including substances such as sludge, pulp and paste.
Due to its pulsed constant field (DC) magnetic field technology, the instru-ment can measure flow rates up to 10 m/s (32.8 ft/s) at a minimum liquid conductivity of 3 µS/cm with high precision and drift free..

 

Mecon Mag Flux F5

MAG FLUX-F5 FLOW METER

The mag-flux F5 design is especially suitable for measuring small flowrates and for dosing applications (e.g. food additives or chemicals). This type of electromagnetic flowmeter is available with small inside diameters.

Mecon Mag Flux S

MAG FLUX-S FLOW METER

Because of its light-weight and compact design this flowmeter is particularly suitable for applications in plastic pipes without reinforcement. Integrated grounding rings guarantee best measuring results and ensure also a safe connection in steel pipes.

As with all electromagnetic flow sensors, the flow probes use the electrical conductivity of the liquid for non-mechanical flow measurement. Flow probes can be easily installed into existing pipelines under pressure, making them ideal for retrofits and reliable temporary measurements.

Cost-effective flow probe for temperatures up to 100 °C (212 °F)
Electromagnetic flow probes can be easily installed under pressure into existing pipelines, making them ideal for retrofits and reliable temporary measurements. The mag-flux MIS 2/15 can be used for flow rates up to 10 m/s (32.8 ft/s) and a minimum conductivity of 20 µS/cm.

MAG FLUX-M1 FLOW METER

Magnetic inductive flow transmitter with pulsed constant field
The mag-flux M1 was specially designed for use with the mag-flux family of electromagnetic flow sensors. The transmitter is available both in compact (sensor mounted) and remote (wall mounted) versions.
